Every project has a theme that always sparks conversation among the children. For example, at the Friendship theme parties, while we are doing the art work, we talk about what makes a good friend. |
Spangle Art Camp Monday - Friday 9:30am - 3: 00pm MONDAY: Fairies and Gardens Morning: Create magic fairies using fabric, paint, glitter, feathers and other materials. Afternoon: Each child plants their own beautiful container garden to take home. TUESDAY: Mystery Self Morning: Create and decorate masks using feathers, paints, ribbons and other materials. Afternoon: Costume party and skits with masks. WEDNESDAY: Ocean Scapes Morning: Create dolphins, fish, mermaids and other sea creatures using Sculpy Artist Clay and glitter paint. Afternoon: Create ocean kaleidoscopes using shells, rocks and colored sand. THURSDAY: What I Love about Myself Morning: Draw and paint self portraits that reveal each child’s unique beauty. Afternoon: Name Play – each child decorates their name for their own personal journal using glitter, paint and art floral techniques. FRIDAY: Friendship Morning: Together we create friendship journals incorporating our Name Play art. Afternoon: Play the Friendship Game and tea party |
Spangle Art Parties Creature Clay Party Using Sculpy Clay we form creatures and put them together in either a jungle scene or an ocean scene. Fairy Doll Party We create magic fairies using fabric, paint, glitter, feathers and other materials. Kaleidoscope Party Each child puts together their own kaleidoscope and then paints and decorates it. Friendship Party - Journals Each child creates a beautiful friendship journal cover using paint and glitter and other materials. Then the children write wishes for each other in all of the journals. Friendship Party - Bracelets Using beautiful beads and cord, we make friendship bracelets together. Masquerade Mask Party We create fun and whimsical masks using mask forms, paint, glitter, feathers and other materials. |
